How does Acuskinlift™ work?
The Acuskinlift Method technique simultaneously reorganises the skin's collagen fibres around the needle while stimulating collagen and elastin production, resulting in revitalised and tighter skin.
Multiple tiny acupuncture needles are expertly crafted on the skin to help firm, boost collagen production, increase blood flow, and facilitates skin regeneration.
Once needles are removed, a series of superficial micro-injections infusing the skin with hyaluronic acids and antioxidants (Nappage mesotherapy) is administered.
A sonic Gua Sha-like LED light skin sculpting device is applied, followed by an intensely hydrating and soothing sheet mask and skin regenerating products.
To complete the treatment, 24-carat gold acupuncture ear seeds are applied to address internal imbalances. This is the next generation of advanced holistic facial treatments.
The skin is left looking and feeling sculpted, radiant, firmer, and rejuvenated- with results continuing for days and weeks due to the collagen synthesis and bio-stimulation effect.
How To Prepare for Acuskinlift™ and Post-Treatment Self Care
BEFORE TREATMENT
- DON’T take over-the-counter blood thinners one week before treatment, including Aspirin, Motrin, Aleve, or Ibuprofen (Inform your practitioner if you are on prescribed blood thinners).
- DON’T take supplements like St. John’s Wort, Ginkgo Biloba, primrose oil, Omega fatty acids, garlic, ginseng, Magnesium, and Vitamin E at least three days before treatment.
- DON’T use topical products such as Tretinoin (Retin-A), Retinol, Retinoids, Glycolic Acid, or any “anti-aging” products for 24 hours before treatment to prevent irritation and reduce the risk of bruising or infection.
- DON’T consume alcohol 24 hours before your treatment.
- DON’T undergo Botox or any other invasive facial treatments (e.g., lasers, chemical peels) for two weeks before the treatment.
- DON’T wear a lot makeup to maximise treatment time versus cleansing.
AFTER TREATMENT
As the treatment involve needles, it is typical and expected for there to be some redness, tenderness, bruising in the treated area. This will generally disappear within a day. However, the unlikely event does not compromise the aesthetic outcome of the treatment, and it is self-corrected (Please plan your treatments and schedule accordingly)
In the event of minor bruising, you can alleviate the issue by applying a cool compress to the treatment area soon after the treatment. Arnica cream is also used after treatment to minimise any risk, and it would be advisable to continue with some arnica cream or Bepanthen at home for a couple of days, regardless of the appearance of any bruise.
- DO use gentle cleansing products for 24 hours, with light sweeping strokes- avoid anything harsh or abrasive.
- DO always wear SPF 50+ throughout the year before and after treatment.
- DON’T participate in heat-inducing activities for 24 hours, such as strenuous exercise, spas, saunas and hot showers.
- DON’T drink alcohol for 24 hours to prevent the potential of bruising.
- DON’T use active cosmeceutical products (AHAs, retinol, vitamin C) and oil-based makeup for 48 hours after treatment.
- DON’T have facials, waxing, chemical peels, skin needling, microdermabrasion, IPL, or laser treatments for 2 weeks after treatment. If uncertain, please discuss your future treatment plans with your practitioner.

Dr John Tsagaris™, with over 30 years of experience in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) and cosmetic acupuncture, introduces Acuskinlift™.
This innovative and holistic approach to skin rejuvenation involves the use of acupuncture needles.
After a consultation and skin analysis, Dr Tsagaris will commence Acuskinlift™, inserting several (approx. 50 – 100+) tiny acupuncture needles superficially into selected areas of the face and neck.
The technique aims to reorganise the skin's collagen fibres around the needle, forming an autologous thread from the skin's collagen.
This process, combined with the bio-stimulation from the needle, activates collagen and elastin production, resulting in revitalised and tighter looking skin.
The rejuvenating effects build up over a month post-treatment.
Repeating the treatment encourages the maintenance and enhancement of results from the first session.
After the needles are placed, they remain for a short period, providing a calming and invigorating sensation.
Following this, Dr Tsagaris uses advanced equipment and methods inspired by modern aesthetics to enhance the skin's appearance.
